I began counseling in 2010 after earning my master’s degree in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. Prior to Covenant, I completed a graduate certificate from Regent College in Theological Studies. I enjoy working primarily with adult women and specialize in women's issues, identity formation, spiritual direction, relational conflict, grief and loss, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. I use an eclectic approach to therapy with a biblical foundation.
I believe my primary role in counseling individuals and working with families is to serve as a facilitator of process. My hope for my clients is that the counseling room would become a place of safety and refuge as they allow the healing process to unfold.
Everyone has a story to tell. One of my favorite aspects of being a counselor is being granted the privilege of hearing stories. I believe we all have a story to tell involving joys, fears, hopes, dreams, grievances, expectations and sorrows. To be given the opportunity to sit alongside those brave enough to share their stories is a true gift. I'm honored each time I'm invited into the life of another.
